BioKer is a ceramic material with fine grain size in order to obtain a high specific surface capable of hosting a large quantity of "good" bacteria (Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter) responsible for biological filtration (nitrification process).

BioKer has a micro porosity giving the product an apparently smooth appearance but capable of giving a self-cleaning effect.

The bacterial flora that is established on BioKer contributes to keeping the aquarium water healthy and crystalline with notable benefits for the health of the living organisms contained therein.
