CO2 NANO FLIPPER
The CO2 bubbles exit the opening at the bottom of the Flipper and rise up the brackets. Some of the CO2 already dissolves in the aquarium water. The rest accumulates in the collection tank and from there ends up in the water.
The safety structure of the collection tank ensures that the small quantities of CO2 that are usual for mini aquariums are released into the water, but at the same time the large quantities of unwanted CO2 are automatically eliminated through the system for venting improper gases
The Flippers are supplied with two collection tanks:
The release of inappropriate gases:
While the CO2 bubbles rise, other gases that are naturally dissolved in the aquarium water penetrate the CO2 bubbles.
These so-called inappropriate gases are significantly lighter than the relatively heavy CO2 and therefore collect in the upper collection tank, from which they are automatically removed at regular intervals by a specially developed inappropriate gas release system (slit).
The heavy CO2, on the other hand, is located in the gas cushion at the bottom, in the boundary surface with the water.
Running-in:
The running-in period of the Flipper is approximately 2 days. At first, the individual CO2 bubbles join together to form larger bubbles.
As soon as a biological surface of microorganisms has formed, the bubbles move to the collection tank.
