Unlike traditional heaters, the bimetallic plate of the 425 thermostat is not crossed by electric current and is not subject to heating due to the Joule effect. This heating causes the contacts of traditional thermostats to open prematurely, before they can actually “feel” the water temperature. The thermostat that controls the eden 425 heater, operating without the passage of current in the bimetal, opens or closes the circuit exclusively based on the detected temperature. A double contact, elastically mounted on the bimetal, ensures the system works perfectly and for a long time. An additional knob, integrated in the main control knob, allows the thermostat to be recalibrated, adapting it to the conditions of use and eliminating any small differences between the set temperature and that detected by a precision thermostat. Simply turn the post-calibration knob towards + or – (each click corresponds to a degree) with the appropriate key, inserted in the suction cup support, to reproduce the value indicated on the graduated scale. Easy to install in any aquarium, with the special support bracket, it guarantees the maintenance of a constant temperature ideal for the perfect functioning of the aquarium ecosystem.
