The HOBBY Genius fish trap allows you to fish frightened, depressed, quarrelsome or sick fish out of the tank. Attach a sufficiently long nylon thread (or similar) to the opening of the trap doors. Then fill the trap with water in the aquarium and distribute some flake or tablet food.
Close the trap doors and place it on the bottom of the aquarium. Then open the doors by pulling the nylon thread. As soon as the fish enters the trap, close it by feeding the thread.
Remove the trap from the aquarium, holding it in an inclined position, with the doors facing upwards, and let some water out through the openings. With the other hand, pull out the doors.
Pour the remaining water with the fish into a net already prepared on the aquarium
A tip: experience teaches that it is easier to catch fish in the evening. During the day, do not feed them. In the same way, you can catch small catfish, which are so difficult to catch. Place half a head of lettuce in the trap and leave it overnight in the aquarium. Lower the doors before the light comes on in the morning.
A tip: if the fish are still very small, you can close the holes in the Genius with Tesafilm and make smaller holes with a needle for the water to pass through
