Artemia is a small saltwater crustacean found in nature in almost all places on Earth, where there are brackish lakes or pools subject to total evaporation.
Adult artemia, from selected cysts in the Great Salt Lake in Utah, have high nutritional characteristics and are microbiologically negative to the TSV- IHHNV – YHV – WSSV – HPV BP tests and bacterial infection.
The integrity of the enzyme content is essential for improving digestibility in fry and adult tropical fish, resulting in increased survival and improved growth.
The cultures are subjected to intensive enrichment with HUFA for at least 96 hours. The artemia are finally rinsed to eliminate any possible impurities, then sterilized before the freeze-drying process.
